Home Coffee Makers
We've tried many coffee makers, and few can compete with the Keurig's.
They offer utter simplicity, reliability, no mess to clean-up, and a reasonable
cost per cup (about 40 cents, on average). Here's what makes them unique:
- No clean up - the coffee comes in sealed single-serving cups (called
K-cups) that look like a double sized coffee creamer.
- The K-cup fit in a slot then are simply tossed out after use. No
messy grinds or filters
- The maker is FAST - less than 1 minute to make a cup of coffee.
- The coffee tastes great !
- There are many brands and varieties to choose from (available at many
retail stores and online).
- You can use your own coffee in their refillable cup, if you'd rather.
- There's no waste - you brew one cup at a time, and since it only takes a
minute - it's always hot, fresh and ready.
- It also makes hot tea, hot chocolate and other drinks - these K-cups are
available, too.
- Decaffeinated versions are available of many coffees and teas!
Another alternative being marketed right now is the Tassimo. The coffee
modules look much smaller and definitely more expensive per cup.
